Jonathan Farah was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Jon started taking piano lessons when he was eight. He has since performed in hundreds of shows and recitals. It wasn't until his mid-twenties when he became interested in the piano's innerworkings.
Jon moved to Chicago to attend The Chicago School for Piano Technology (CSPT). CSPT offers an intensive 1-2 year course in piano tuning, repair and regulation. At the school, Jon was able to learn from some of the best technicians in the country, receiving valuable hands-on training. After graduating, Jon moved back to Milwaukee to start Farah Piano Works.
Jon Farah lives in Shorewood, where he writes and records music in addition to running Farah Piano Works. He is an Associate member in the Piano Technician's Guild.
